About
Ryo Hajika is an interaction designer and HCI researcher based in Tokyo, working at the intersection of embodied cognition, wearable systems, and media art. His research focuses on extending conscious access to physiological processes through carefully designed multimodal feedback — most recently through OpenGut, a gut-sensing wearable presented at ACM CHI 2024.
Alongside research, Ryo works as an on-demand event videographer — documenting culture, education, and music events — and as a photographer shooting film, digital, polaroid, and iPhone across Tokyo and beyond.
He is available for media-art consulting, HCI collaboration, and event videography.
